Job summary

Ivy Kids of Silver Ranch seeks an After School Teacher for a part-time role from 2:00 to 6:30 pm in Katy, TX. You will plan daily after-school activities and supervise students in a safe, structured environment.

Responsibilities include implementing the program, guiding behavior with Conscious Discipline, and maintaining records. Must meet state licensing, have 2+ years in early education, and stay current with training and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must meet/state licensing requirements for age, education, and experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in early education.
• Knowledge of Texas DFPS Minimum Standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• High energy and self-motivated individual.
• Able to repeatedly bend, stoop and run; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must interact effectively with children and parents.
• Maintain at least 24 hours of training annually.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements daily afterschool activities and summer camp curriculum per Ivy Kids Standards.
• Uses positive guidance techniques and Conscious Discipline in the classroom.
• Keeps accurate records of accidents and observations.
• Maintains safe, clean classroom and play areas.
• Supervises the assistant teacher and coordinates staff in the classroom.
• Communicates with families and director about children and issues.
• Attends staff meetings and trainings.
• Ensures staff follow safety and health procedures.
