IRCO is seeking a SUN Extended Day Coordinator at George Middle School in Portland, OR. The role begins at $18.36 per hour, with on-call/ casual status and responsibilities including administrative support, attendance tracking, and youth enrichment activities after school.

The position operates 3:30pm–6:00pm, Monday-Thursday, up to 20 hours weekly, at a public school site in Multnomah County. Prior experience with SUN programs is helpful.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School degree or equivalent is preferred.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.
• Experience with youth activities and lesson planning is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Willingness to complete training on child abuse reporting and classroom management.

Responsabilités

• Support SUN Site Manager with registration paperwork and program implementation.
• Record and report attendance accurately.
• Provide administrative support and data entry for extended day programs.
• Assist with behavior and classroom management during after-school activities.
• Serve as a substitute for SUN Manager when needed.
• Encourage and assist youth with homework and schoolwork.
