Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of Educators, coaching, feedback, day-to-day guidance.

  • Communicate with families, school partners, and Area Manager during program hours.
  • Plan and oversee daily enrichment curriculum and activities.

Right At School provides Before & After School, Summer Camp, and Break Camp programs at 1,200+ schools across the country. Our programs deliver hands-on enrichment activities, homework support, active play, social-emotional learning, and more - all guided by a mission to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind.

As a Program Manager, you'll lead a team and oversee daily operations - coaching staff, ensuring safety and compliance, building relationships with families and school partners, and facilitating activities with kids as needed - while gaining valuable leadership and operations experience in the education field.

In short, your day-to-day leadership is what turns a good program into a great one, for your team and every child you serve.

Position Details-
  • Part-Time Split-Shift Schedule: (Part-Time/Split-Shift) Monday-Friday 6:00 am-7:45 am and return 2:00 pm-6:00 pm. Must be able to work the split-shift before and after schedule, Monday through Friday
  • Location Sites: Meadow Community School at9150 Monroe St., Thornton, Colorado 80229, and Achieve Academy at 9100 Poze Blvd. Thornton, Colorado, 80229
  • Starting Wage: $25-$27.50 per hour (depending on years of experience and educational qualifications in a group setting)

Requirements:

Ability to meet state-specific requirements;

Current Large Center Director Certificate OR An active Early Childhood Professional Credential (ECPC), Version 3.0, Level 3 or higher or ECPC, Version 2.0, Level 4 or higher.

  1. Option 1: Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate Degree in any of the following: Child Development; Child Psychology; Early Childhood Education; Early Childhood Special Education; Educational Leadership and Administration; Elementary Education; Family and Human Development; Family Studies; or Special Education (No experience required).
  2. Option 2: Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate Degree in an unrelated field + 10 required ECE courses + 455 hours of verifiable experience.
  3. Option 3: Associate's Degree + 10 required ECE courses + 455 hours of verifiable experience.
  4. Option 4: No degree + 10 required ECE courses + 910 hours ECE Courses Intro to Early Childhood Education Intro to Early Childhood Education Techniques Guidance Strategies for Young Children OR Department approved Colorado Pyramid Plus Approach Training ECE Nutrition, Health and Safety Admin of Early Childhood Care and Education Programs Admin: Human Relations for ECE or Intro to Business Curriculum Development: Methods and Techniques ECE Child Growth and Development.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and support a team of Educators, providing coaching, feedback, and day-to-day guidance
  • Keep site documentation, licensing standards, and safety and attendance protocols up to date and compliant with state and company standards
  • Oversee daily check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring accurate "name to face" attendance records
  • Communicate regularly with families, school partners, and your Area Manager, responding promptly to emails, calls, and inquiries during program hours
  • Plan and oversee daily enrichment curriculum, movement, team games, and independent activity stations delivered by your team
  • Address and resolve day-to-day issues or conflicts among staff, students, or families
  • Monitor the program environment for safety, addressing hazards and ensuring safety protocols are followed
  • Report incidents, injuries, or safety concerns promptly and maintain accurate documentation

What We're Looking For
  • Experience managing competing priorities while delivering quality service to staff, families, and school partners
  • High school diploma or GED completed
  • Experience working with children, including those with unique or special needs
  • Coursework or training in child development or a related field (preferred)
  • Strong oral, written, and visual communication skills with both adults and children
  • Comfortable modeling professional standards around students, parents, staff, and community members
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace or willingness to learn
  • At least 21 years of age

Program Managers must have one of the following:

  • REQUIRED-4yr degree education, elementary education, specialty in art/human service (social work, psych, etc.); OR 2yr degrees and 6mo (910 hrs) of experience from the age of 18; OR 5, 460 hrs of experience (2-3yrs) w/ 6 semesters of schooling or 40 clocked hours of training for school-aged children
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Experience working with children under 13 years of age is a PLUS
  • One year of supervisory/management experience
