Job summary

Innovation Learning is hiring a Resilience Coach to support students at KIPP Wheeler and KIPP Douglass. This part-time role combines mentorship, enrichment, recreation, and academic support to create a safe, engaging environment where youth develop confidence, life skills, and leadership.

Responsibilities include student engagement, homework help, and leading activities while maintaining safety and following all policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children in schools, childcare programs, camps, recreation programs, or youth organizations preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Positive attitude, patience, and a genuine passion for youth development.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with students and create a welcoming environment.
• Promote respect, responsibility, and resilience as a role model.
• Support students with behavior guidance and conflict resolution.
• Ensure student safety and well-being at all times.
• Lead enrichment, recreation, and team-building activities.
• Provide homework help and academic support sessions.
• Facilitate games, fitness activities, and outdoor play.
• Assist with daily setup, attendance, and dismissal procedures.
• Maintain a safe, organized learning environment and follow policies.
