Job summary

Think Together is seeking a Part-Time Program Leader to work in California school sites, providing positive mentorship and structured activities for groups of 20–25 students. The role emphasizes safety, behavior management, and engaging programming, with in-person instruction and supervision across after-school settings.

Responsibilities include homework help, enrichment, snack duties, and collaborating with school staff and parents to support student growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• District-specific: 48 semester units / 60 quarter units or pass a pre-employment test.
• Ability to speak and write Standard English for public-school setting.
• Must pass Live Scan (background check).
• Provide negative TB test dated within the last 3 years.
• At least six months experience working with a group of 10+ students.
• Advanced Math and English skills (K–8).
• Excellent Written and Verbal communication skills.
• Bi-literate in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of students in-person, maintaining behavior and safety per Think Together core agreements.
• Serve as a positive adult role model for children in the program.
• Create an engaging environment that fosters belonging for kids.
• Support students in making positive behavior choices and apply discipline when needed.
• Identify student needs and communicate with Site Program Manager, teachers, school admins and parents.
• Participate in staff development.
• Provide homework assistance, academic enrichment, and physical activity using provided curriculum.
• Work directly with 20–25 students in classroom setting with classroom and behavior management strategies.
• Assist daily with snack preparation, serving, and cleanup.
• Assist in setup, break down, and ongoing maintenance to keep site clean and orderly.
• Maintain student safety by taking roll and reviewing sign-in/sign-outs.
