Job summary

Great Hearts Academies is seeking an After-School Program Assistant in Scottsdale to supervise students and assist with activities under the guidance of a Lead Teacher. This part-time, seasonal role offers 15–20 hours weekly, Monday–Friday, after school until 6:00 p.m.

Compensation is $15.50–$16.50 per hour. The position is non-exempt, non-benefited, and located on campus within the academy program.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent or be enrolled.
• First aid/CPR certification preferred but not required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to supervise students and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise up to 20 students in a classroom setting under supervision.
• Facilitate homework, recess, and other activities.
• Present lessons from provided classical curriculum.
• Follow protocols for documenting student behavior and events.
• Escalate incidents to supervisor.
• Substitute at another campus when needed.
