Job summary

PAL of New York City is seeking Part Time Group Leaders to assist in afterschool programs across SEL, dance, sports, STEAM, life skills, literacy, leadership, and college readiness. You will report to the COMPASS or SONYC Director and work with a Content Specialist.

Responsibilities include supporting activity planning, implementing PAL curricula, building positive relationships with youth and caretakers, and participating in required trainings.

Qualifications

• Minimum HS diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum 2 years of youth work in a non-profit.
• Strong classroom and behavior management.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish, French or Chinese preferred.
• Able to obtain DOHMH/DOE clearances and recent physical.

Responsibilities

• Foster SEL and well-being in a safe, inclusive environment.
• Support planning and implementation of activities (dance, sports, STEAM, etc.).
• Implement PAL curricula.
• Build positive relationships with youth, caretakers and staff.
• Attend required trainings and staff meetings.
