Job summary

New York Edge is seeking passionate and enthusiastic Activity Instructor- Dance Specialists for multiple openings across 5 boroughs. This role leads after-school dance programming and supports curriculum and instruction across sites.

You will design lesson plans, demonstrate techniques, and ensure safe, engaging activities for youth. Share clear objectives, assess student progress, and collaborate with staff to deliver high-quality programs.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year experience teaching dance to youth.
• Knowledgeable and skilled in one or more styles of dance.
• Experience working with children strongly preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; must be 18+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Lead after-school dance activities and teach/co-lead daily activities.
• Design lesson plans and curricula for the dance program.
• Coordinate program events and support safety procedures.
