Job summary

Code Ninjas Sudbury is seeking an After-School Youth Program Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology and early childhood education, punctual, hard-working, dependable, good with kids, and possesses strong leadership qualities.

This permanent, part-time position runs year-round, not a summer-only job. Responsibilities include assessing student progress, communicating with parents, and maintaining a clean dojo for young learners.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching children aged 5–9.
• Knowledge of teaching and learning assessment pedagogy is an asset.
• Organized and an excellent communicator.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Basic experience teaching STEM preferred, but not required.
• Must be FUN and ENERGETIC.

Responsibilities

• Assess students' areas for improvement, and note each student's strengths and needs.
• Track progress of each junior student during the lesson.
• Report to the Junior Program Coordinator to discuss problems, strategies and solutions.
• Communicate with parents about their child.
• Maintain and develop a clean classroom (dojo) for junior age students.
