Uxbridge Public Schools Taft Elementary in Uxbridge, Massachusetts seeks a part-time Child Care Aide for extended-day support. The role focuses on supervising children, ensuring safety during transitions, helping with homework, and assisting with group activities under lead teachers.

Responsibilities include reinforcing safety rules, guiding social-emotional development, assisting with snacks, and maintaining attendance records. Starting date is immediately; pay is $15–$22 per hour.

Formación

• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor children continuously indoors, outdoors, and during transitions to ensure physical safety.
• Enforce site safety rules, behavioral expectations, and emergency procedures.
• Oversee and guide children working on school homework or reading.
• Assist lead teachers in organizing and leading group games, arts and crafts, sports, and enrichment activities.
• Foster an inclusive, positive, and engaging environment that supports social-emotional development.
• Help prepare, serve, and clean up daily snacks or meals while encouraging good hygiene and manners.
• Use positive reinforcement and conflict-resolution strategies to help children manage peer interactions.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and sign-in/sign-out sheets.
• Communicate professionally with parents/guardians at pick-up.
