Job summary

Bank Street College of Education is seeking an After School Cello Instructor for the Bank Street School for Children’s program. The position is part-time, with weekly Thursday sessions 3:30–5:30 PM, from February 5, 2026 to June 11, 2026, $90/hour.

Candidates should have experience with 2nd–8th grade students and a commitment to SEL. Under the Auxiliary Programs team, you will design and deliver lessons, differentiate for diverse learners, and communicate with families.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching cello to school-age children.
• Ability to work with 2nd–8th graders and support SEL.
• Willingness to collaborate with a team.

Responsibilities

• Guide cello fundamentals in small groups (2-4 students).
• Provide individualized feedback to help students improve.
• Design and deliver engaging lessons.
• Differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
• Conduct weekly cello lessons.
• Communicate with families via email.
