Job summary

SST Schertz is seeking a Part Time Support Staff member to assist with after school care and instructional support in the Schertz campus. The role reports to the Dean of Academics and supports teachers in achieving student goals during normal school hours.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, and ideally 48 college hours or experience with children. This position is nonexempt and part-time with a focus on assisting students and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preference for 48 college hours.
• Experience working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with student academic goals by working with small groups or individual students.
• Help enforce classroom management and behavioral plans.
• Supervise students during breakfast, recess, lunch, dismissal, events and programs.
• Assist with ARD/IEP paperwork and data entry for special education reports.
• Help plan and implement differentiated instruction for individuals and groups.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
