Job summary

Mentoring Alliance in Abilene, TX is seeking a Site Director for our after-school program. This part-time leadership role guides staff, shapes culture, and builds trusted relationships within the school community to advance our mission.

You will coach team members, engage families at pickup, oversee daily operations, and respond to student needs with wisdom and care, while reporting to the Area Director and ensuring a high-quality experience for kids and families.

Qualifications

• Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith.
• Must be at least 17 years old; High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred and some post-secondary training highly preferred
• Pass Mandatory Background/Sex offender check; valid driver's license or valid ID; legal to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Lead, Coach, and Support Staff: Onboard new team members, cultivate a healthy staff culture, and provide ongoing coaching to ensure excellence in execution and alignment with our mission.
• Engage and Support Families: Build strong, trust-based relationships with parents and guardians through clear communication, presence at pick-up, and a commitment to meeting family needs.
• Ensure Program Excellence: Lead daily operations, facilitate team launch meetings, and support problem-solving to deliver a high-quality after-school experience for students and families.
• Respond to Student Needs: Manage escalated behaviors with wisdom and care, equipping staff with the tools to respond effectively and maintain a positive environment.
• Communicate and Collaborate: Serve as a liaison to your Area Director, maintaining strong communication, timely reporting, and alignment on site-level goals and challenges.
