Imagine Arts Academy of St. Louis is hiring enthusiastic, dependable instructors to lead engaging, hands-on art classes at elementary schools throughout the St. Louis area.

The role is very part-time, typically two to four weekday afternoons, with classes usually around one hour long and scheduled during the school year. We provide curriculum, lesson plans, training, supplies, and ongoing support. Office and training location is University City, Missouri, with opportunities to work in multiple

Qualifications

• Enjoy working with elementary-age children.
• Be dependable, energetic, patient, and capable of leading a group.
• Available on at least two weekday afternoons.
• Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Able to travel to schools across the St. Louis area.
• Able to transport program supplies as needed.
• Communicate clearly and professionally.
• Willing to complete required training.
• Able to pass applicable background-screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on art projects for groups of ~10–20 children.
• Create a positive, well-managed classroom environment.
• Explain techniques and instructions in age-appropriate terms.
• Encourage creativity while keeping students on task.
• Prepare materials and clean up after class.
• Transport materials to and from schools.
• Communicate with school staff, parents, and office staff.
• Follow program, school, and child-safety procedures.
