Job summary

Kansas City Public Schools is seeking an Adult Education and Literacy Instructor (Part-Time) to provide instruction in literacy, high school equivalency, workforce readiness, and English as a second language. The Lead Instructor will enforce program policies and contribute to student growth, using state standards and assessment tools to tailor assignments.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher, a substitute certification through DESE, and offers a part-time schedule with a 25 hours

• Substitute Certification through DESE is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage class site independently and proctor assessments as needed.
• Create daily lesson plans based on student deficits and assessment data.
• Provide accommodations and differentiated instruction.
