Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) for the James Cancer Hospital, a part-time position in Health System Nursing Administration. The APP will work with a licensed physician to deliver preventive and acute care, provide education, and coordinate referrals as needed.

Current Ohio APRN authority or PA-C eligibility is required, with NP or PA certification pathways supported.

Qualifications

Current certificate of authority to practice as an APRN in Ohio.
Graduate of an NP program qualifying for national certification.
Eligibility for Ohio licensure as a PA-C (if pursuing PA route).
0 years of relevant experience required.
0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
Masters Prepared; Graduate of a PA-C program that qualifies the graduate to sit for the certification examination recognized by the National Certification Commission for Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Eligibility for State of Ohio licensure as a PA-C.

Responsibilities

Provide health care services to patients in collaboration with an attending physician.
Collaborate with clinicians to deliver preventive and acute care when appropriate.
Educate and counsel patients and families on health promotion and disease management.
Refer to other providers and community resources as needed.
