Job summary

Tampa General Hospital's Hospital at Home program seeks an Advanced Practice Provider for part-time coverage. The APP will screen, admit, discharge, and perform daily telehealth rounds, with in-person visits as needed.

The role collaborates with supervising physicians and multidisciplinary teams, participates in quality initiatives, and supports operational efficiency while maintaining autonomy.

Shifts include day hours, weekend rotation, and travel between campus and patient homes as required.

Qualifications

• Nationally board-certified Acute Care NP or AGACNP, or a Physician Assistant.
• DEA license required or obtained after orientation.
• Inpatient hospital care and internal medicine preferred.
• Safe driving record required to operate hospital at home vehicles.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and commit to professional development.

Responsibilities

• Daily patient rounding via telehealth, with in-person assessments when clinically necessary.
• Admissions, discharges, and consultations for Hospital at Home patients.
• Collaborate with supervising physician and multidisciplinary teams to improve care and operations.
• Participate in quality and process improvement initiatives.
