Job summary

Tampa General Hospital, Inc. is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for Open Access Primary Care in Westchase.

The role focuses on enhancing access, care transitions, and clinic efficiency, with emphasis on same-day access and continuity across ambulatory and inpatient settings. The APP will work autonomously and with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions, including post-hospital follow-up and diagnostic testing.

Qualifications

• Active licensure as APRN or PA in Florida.
• FNP or AGPC&Pediatrics board certification required for APRNs.
• Minimum of 1 year of APRN/PA experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate same-day access, post-hospital follow-up, and pre-operative optimization to improve clinic throughput.
• Provide overflow care for established panels and support continuity across ambulatory and inpatient transitions.
• Respond to patient messages, return calls, and follow up on diagnostic testing.
• Work after hours and weekend call distribution among providers, in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
