Job summary

Gloucester County Library System seeks an energetic, service-oriented adult-services librarian to join the Mullica Hill Library team. The candidate will deliver programming, collection development, and information services to the community with a focus on excellent customer service and strong communication.

The position is part-time (21 hours per week) located at the GCLS Mullica Hill Library. Daytime hours, plus at least one night, one Saturday, and one Sunday per weekend are required, with

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Library or Information Science from an ALA-accredited institution.
• Possession of a valid NJ Professional Librarian license issued by the Bureau of Teacher Certification, Thomas Edison State College.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a public library setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional reference and reader’s advisory service.
• Develop and implement a variety of adult services programming and innovative, regularly scheduled events.
• Provide in-depth reference service as scheduled and Librarian by Appointment.
• Assist customers using public computers and digital services.
• Participate in outreach events and system-wide programming initiatives.
