Job summary

Chamberlain University is seeking Part‑Time Clinical Instructors to join our dynamic faculty and support students in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program. In this role, you will implement the College's philosophy, curriculum, and course objectives through clinical teaching, supervise nursing students, provide direct evaluation and remediation, and post written assignments.

Proof of Michigan RN licensure and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered Michigan nursing license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association.
• At least two years of instructional nursing experience in the last five years.
• COVID‑19 vaccination may be required at some sites.
• Teaching or precepting experience preferred but not required.
• Passion for nursing, education and lifelong learning.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to serving students and colleagues with respect and care.
• Ability to work with diverse populations and enrich the community.

Responsibilities

• Implements the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes and course objectives through clinical teaching and service.
• Plans clinical experiences and provides direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students delivering nursing care.
• Evaluates and provides documented feedback to students on performance based on course objectives.
• Remediation of students as needed.
• Maintains knowledge of agency/clinical policies with site staff.
• Develops and posts written clinical assignments aligned with learning needs.
• Grades homework, quizzes, tests and clinical paperwork in a timely manner.
• May teach didactic content under supervision.
• Keeps course coordinator informed of student and agency issues.
• Reports to the dean or assistant dean; course coordinator provides oversight.
