Job summary

Chamberlain University seeks Part Time Clinical Instructors to teach in our Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

You will implement the college’s philosophy, plan clinical experiences, supervise nursing students, and evaluate their performance to meet course objectives.

Required are a master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing, an unencumbered RN license, and teaching or precepting experience is preferred; COVID vaccination may be required.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered professional nursing license.
• Two years of professional instructional experience as a registered nurse (preferred).
• COVID vaccination may be required at certain clinical sites.
• Teaching or precepting experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Implements the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service.
• Plans clinical experiences and provides direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students.
• Evaluates and provides documented feedback to students on performance.
• Remains current with agency/clinical policies and expectations.
• Develops and posts written clinical assignments aligned with learning needs.
• Gives timely grades for assignments and may teach didactic content under supervision.
• Keeps the course coordinator informed of student and agency issues.
• Reports to the dean or assistant dean for oversight.
