Job summary

Nassau BOCES is seeking Part-time Adult Educators to support the Adult English as a Second Language program at the Adult Learning Center in Garden City. In this role, you will teach beginning to advanced levels of English language skills to adult learners, focusing on speaking, reading and writing.

Roles include maintaining attendance records and completing 14 hours of NYSED mandated professional development.

Qualifications

• New York State Education Department (NYSED) Certification in a K-12 Academic Area.
• NYSED Certification: ESOL, Literacy, and/or Bilingual Education Extension is preferred.
• Prior experience as a classroom teacher.
• Ability to work weekdays, evenings, and/or Saturdays.
