Job summary

UNM Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a part-time Counselor Social Worker 2 to join the School Based Health Clinics in Albuquerque, NM. The role supports 32 hours per week during August 2025–May 2026, with a 0.8 FTE schedule, providing therapy services to APS students.

The position collaborates with case management, medical providers, and psychiatry fellows, and emphasizes working with adolescents in a high-demand clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
• Licensure in LPCC, LISW, or LCSW with temporary license may be substituted for experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides counseling, therapy, and/or psychotherapy to clients and families; develops treatment and discharge plans.
• Collects data through interviews, history, tests, and observations to guide therapy.
• Consults with other therapists and staff; refers to appropriate services as needed.
• Provides crisis intervention and emergency services as required.
• Maintains case files, referrals, and documentation for treatment and legal proceedings.
