Job summary

LearnWell in Lewiston, ME is seeking a passionate teacher for the 26-27 school year on a part-time basis. The role involves working in a residential behavioral health facility, providing academic support to adolescent students in a small class.

Position entails a year-round, 20-hour workweek, Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–12:30 pm. Generous PTO, holidays, and paid school breaks, plus healthcare (medical, dental, vision), 401K, life insurance, and tuition reimbursement grants are offered.

Qualifications

• BA/BS from an accredited institution.
• Active Maine teaching license required; substitute licenses will not be considered.
• Comfortable working with 7th–12th grade students.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily lesson plans.
• Provide individualized assistance to students.
• Regularly communicate about student progress as needed.
• Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success.
• Maintain accurate attendance and session reports.
