Penn State Scranton's Center for Business Development and Community Outreach is seeking a Part-Time Administrative Support Assistant (24 hr/week). Hours may increase up to 40 hours in late spring/early summer to support summer camps and programs.
Responsibilities include greeting customers, answering phones and emails, scheduling meetings, data entry, maintaining calendars, processing expenditures, and supporting events and office operations.
The Center for Business Development and Community Outreach at Penn State Scranton provides continuing education, professional development, and career advancement programs in response to the region's educational and professional development needs. Our team serves students, working professionals, entrepreneurs, businesses, and community organizations by providing summer camps, workshops, professionally relevant courses, certificate programs, customized corporate training opportunities, and mentoring for those wishing to start and grow businesses.
We are currently seeking applications for a Part-Time (24 hr/weekly) Administrative Support Assistant. Hours may increase up to 40 hours in the for the end of June into July. The selected candidate must be available for the month of July, as this department is responsible for summer camps/programming. Specific scheduling questions can be addressed during the interview.
This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
