Duties and Responsibilities: UNC Charlotte is accepting applications for adjunct or part-time faculty. These positions are temporary and usually involve teaching a particular course or courses for a particular semester. These positions are temporary and do not accrue benefits. This advanced course will provide students with a broad overview of leader development (or developing the individual knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies of leaders). Leader development is an area of I/O psychology that consists of a complex array of topics and is heavily represented both in research and practice. This diversity of perspectives is in part a great asset, but its fragmentation can present challenges for the field. While a fully comprehensive survey of leader development cannot be accomplished in one semester, PSYC 6630 provides the opportunity for students to explore a variety of topics in the leader development space, learn and practice various leader development skills, and to develop their own sense of what type of leader (and follower) they want to be going forward. Responsibilities could include: Developing and/or updating course syllabus, preparation of lectures, projects, or other student assignments, meeting all designated class periods, maintaining regularly scheduled office hours, grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner, submitting completed mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.
