Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana is seeking a part-time adjunct faculty member to teach speech/communication courses. Responsibilities include creating a learning environment and assessing student progress using standard syllabi, with occasional coordination outside of class hours.

Candidates must hold a master's in speech/communication or an equivalent master’s with 18 graduate hours, and participate in background checks. Emphasis on inclusivity and student support is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in speech or communication from a regionally accredited institution or
• Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in speech or communication from a regionally accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• PROGRAM OPERATION: Teach assigned classes, provide syllabi, maintain attendance and grading records.
• STUDENTS: Be available outside class time, address concerns, coordinate with program staff as needed.
• INSTRUCTION: Deliver scheduled classes, use Canvas/PowerPoint, notify chair in emergencies, promote diversity.
