Job summary

NorthWest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) invites qualified applicants to establish a pool for part-time and substitute instructors to teach courses in Behavioral Sciences: Psychology, Sociology, and Anthropology.

Positions are available days, evenings, and weekends. Rate of pay: $875 per credit hour. Email is the primary communication method for updates, and applicants must re-apply yearly to maintain the pool.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in the subject area taught or related field with 18 graduate hours in the discipline is required.
  • Knowledge of organization and administration of higher education academic and social programs.
  • Familiarity with campus and community resources.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a pool of part-time and substitute instructors for Behavioral Sciences (Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology).
  • Teach courses as needed within the Behavioral Sciences department.
  • Coordinate with NWACC for scheduling and assignments.

Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis, which may include fall, spring, and summer. Postings close yearly and to maintain your application within the system, you will need to re-apply each year.

NorthWest Arkansas Community College is seeking qualified applicants to establish a pool for part-time and/or substitute instructors to teach courses in Behavioral Sciences: Psychology, Sociology, and Anthropology.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of the organization and administration of various higher education academic

and social programs.

Knowledge of campus and community resources.

Knowledge of state, federal, and campus rules, regulations, and requirements related to

campus academic and social programs.

Ability to coordinate the activities of campus academic and/or social programs.

Ability to evaluate collected information and formulate into recommendations.

Ability to compile information into report form.

Required Qualifications

A Master's Degree is preferred in the subject area taught or a Master's Degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in the specific discipline area for the transfer courses taught is required.
