Job summary

Southwest Tennessee Community College invites applications for a part-time Adjunct Faculty position in the Languages and Literature Department to teach Academic Success Seminar. The pay rate is $640 per credit hour, with postings reviewed as openings arise.

The Adjunct Instructor will coordinate, plan, present, and evaluate classroom instruction and related activities across day, evening, or weekend shifts on any campus. Involvement may include advising and service on committees.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in the teaching discipline or with 18 hours of graduate work in the teaching discipline.
• Minimum two years teaching in higher education or one year teaching plus three years in field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver instruction in Academic Success topics.
• Grade and evaluate student work with timely feedback and maintain progress records.
• Develop curricula and instructional materials (syllabi, assignments, handouts).
• Maintain office hours; advise students; participate in committees and professional activities.
