Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital - Acute Care Rehabilitation in Park Ridge, IL is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. The position offers a 20-hour workweek with a pay range of $38.20 to $57.30 per hour and a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

You will evaluate patients, plan and implement treatment, fabricate assistive devices as needed, monitor progress, and coordinate discharges with families and care teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of practice.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire (as required).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Interprets physician referrals and assesses patient abilities affecting ADLs.
• Develops and implements care plans with evidence-based techniques.
• Fabricates assistive devices and splints to promote independence.
• Monitors progress and updates physicians and team on patient status.
• Plans discharge and teaches home programs to patients and families.
• Completes documentation per policy, including evaluations and discharge summaries.
• Ensures safety, infection control, and equipment handling.
