Job summary

Waters of Sweetwater in Sweetwater, TN, is seeking a compassionate Activity Aide (Part Time) to support the Life Enrichment team. You will help create and deliver programs that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive well‑being for residents.

You will work closely with residents, families, and staff, maintain confidentiality, escort residents to activities, document participation, and help set up and clean activity areas. Prior experience in long‑term care is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in long‑term care, recreation, or working with older adults preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage residents with varying cognitive and physical abilities.
• Dependable, patient, and committed to maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and leading daily activity programs for individuals and groups.
• Support personalized activity plans based on resident interests, abilities, and care needs.
• Escort and assist residents to and from activities safely.
• Document participation and observations according to facility policy.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of resident information in accordance with HIPAA and facility standards.
• Set up, clean up, and maintain activity areas and supplies.
• Participate in special events, outings, and holiday programs.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for all residents.
