Greenery Center for Rehab and Nursing in Canonsburg, PA seeks a friendly Part-time Activities Assistant to plan and coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly events for our residents, engaging participants and managing staff and volunteers to keep programs on time and within budget.

This role requires strong interpersonal and time-management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle logistics, safety procedures, and feedback to deliver entertaining activities that meet residents’ varied

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and certain certifications may be required.
• Experience in nursing, recreational activities, event planning, or related fields is preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Physical fitness to walk, stand, lift, and perform activities.
• Excellent organization and time-management skills.
• Patience and compassion when dealing with residents.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate daily, weekly, and monthly events to encourage socialization and recreation.
• Coordinate logistics such as contacting participants, advertising, budgeting, and volunteer coordination.
• Supervise volunteers and staff, and coordinate transportation for events.
• Observe participants to gauge enjoyment and gather feedback for improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of event resources, participant interest, and incidents.
• Report medical concerns or observations as needed.
• Ensure events are well-provisioned, staffed, and run on time and within budget.
• Provide participants with clear instructions for events.
• Enforce safety procedures during all activities.
