Job summary

You will assist the Activities Director in planning and running recreational programs, build relationships with residents, coordinate with staff, and help with documentation and setup.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies as needed.
• Does NOT Require CNA License.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activities Director in planning, organizing, and implementing recreational activities for residents, including games, arts and crafts, and social events.
• Develop and maintain relationships with residents to understand their interests and abilities, and tailor activities accordingly.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment.
• Encourage and support residents in their daily activities, such as exercise classes, music therapy, and hobbies.
• Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress.
• Participate in resident assessments and develop individualized activity plans.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning up activity areas.
