Job summary

Autumnwood Care Center is seeking a compassionate Activities Aide to join our team in Tiffin, Ohio. This part-time role focuses on creating engaging activities that bring joy and fulfillment to residents, working closely with the Activities Director and care staff.

You will support planning, organizing, and leading recreational events, assess resident interests, and help tailor programs. A friendly, patient demeanor and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies as needed.
• Does NOT Require CNA License.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activities Director in planning and implementing recreational activities for residents.
• Develop and maintain relationships with residents to understand interests and tailor activities.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure a cohesive environment.
• Encourage residents in daily activities, exercise classes, music therapy, and hobbies.

• Develop and maintain relationships with residents to understand their interests and abilities, and tailor activities accordingly
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment
• Encourage and support residents in their daily activities, such as exercise classes, music therapy, and hobbies
• Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress
• Participate in resident assessments and develop individualized activity plans
• Assist with setting up and cleaning up activity areas
