Job summary

The City of Peoria seeks a Part-time Community Center Aide to lead activities in the Active Adult Program at the Neighborhood and Human Services Department. You will help with events, enrichment classes and community outings while assisting with admin tasks in a busy, multi-generational center.

Ideal candidates are 16+ years old, possess a AZ driver's license, can safely drive a 15-passenger van, and have strong interpersonal and computer skills to support participants aged 50 and over.

Qualifications

• No minimum education requirement.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must complete all required City training courses within six months.
• Valid Arizona Driver's License.
• Ability to operate 15-passenger vans for outings.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Proficient in general computer use and basic digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead activities within the Active Adult Program.
• Assist with administrative tasks in a multi-generational community center.
• Coordinate special events, enrichment classes and outings.
• Address and resolve participant concerns while maintaining safety.
