The Sinclair Accounting Department seeks part-time adjunct faculty to teach morning and afternoon courses face-to-face at the Courseview Campus in Mason, OH. Starting pay is $1,046 per credit hour assigned to teach.

Minimum of a master's degree in accounting (or MBA with at least 18 graduate accounting hours) is required; CPA preferred. Applicants must reside in Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky or be able to work in one of these states.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in accounting or MBA with 18 graduate credits in accounting is required.
• CPA preferred; evidence of successful teaching experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to improving student learning through innovative strategies and teaching.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for a community college environment.
• Proficiency with modern educational technology including multimedia-based instruction.

Responsibilities

• Adjunct faculty teach curriculum developed by the department.
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning.
• Prepare syllabi for all assigned sections per policies.
• Employ teaching and learning strategies, using instructional technology when appropriate.
• Modify methods to meet diverse student needs.
• Support classroom and online efforts to promote student success.
• Evaluate and return student work promptly.
