Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• A college degree.
• Type at least 40 words per minute.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology data center location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, issue and collect temporary badges, and maintain accurate access logs in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access control alarms, unauthorized access attempts, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Operate access control systems, cameras, radios, and other site equipment; complete required reports and shift documentation with clear, accurate details.
