Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Credential Operations in Wilmington, DE to safeguard clients across government facilities and transportation locations. This role features flexible scheduling with a shift-based timetable and ongoing on-site security duties.

As a part-time Access Control Officer, you will verify credentials, monitor entry points, and provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and passengers, contributing to a secure environment and incident

Qualifications

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorized entry, maintain visitor records, and report access-control concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, unauthorized access attempts, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, platforms, facilities, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and access-control documentation while communicating professionally with site personnel and responding agencies.
