Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Guard in Sterling, VA. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide excellent customer service in a technology-focused environment.

The role requires ages 18+ (21+ for armed roles) and a high school diploma. You will work Tue and Wed 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM with the option to claim additional shifts via our platform. A background check and drug screen may be required.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, vendors, and contractors by following access control procedures and site policies.
• Verify credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain access logs and records.
• Respond calmly to alarms, incidents, and critical situations per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, restricted areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and leadership about access issues and policy violations.
