Qualifications

• Must possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) issued by TSA.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility operations personnel by enforcing site-specific access-control procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor passes and/or access devices, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Respond calmly to access-control alarms, unauthorized-entry attempts, incidents and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned utility facilities, entry points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.
• Prepare clear, timely reports and shift logs documenting access activity, incidents, observations, and actions taken.
