Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Access Control in Darlington, SC to safeguard clients across tech/media/telecom sites. You will provide friendly, professional service, monitor access points, and support badge verification while maintaining a visible security presence.

The role requires at least two years of security experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work daytime and evening shifts.

Qualifications

At least two years of security-related experience.
Valid driver’s license required for driving positions.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Background check and drug screen required.
18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
Access control and badge experience preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet, preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and guests, following security procedures and site policies.
Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations calmly; notify appropriate contacts.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, common spaces, and perimeter areas.
Monitor access points, visitor activity, and credentials; follow visitor management procedures.
Document patrols and incidents; report to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
