Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer in Norfolk, VA. You will provide customer service, manage access control, verify badges, and monitor entry points to protect clients and personnel.

Role offers flexible scheduling, including weekend shifts, and utilizes our Shift-Claim platform. Candidates should be 18+ (21+ for armed roles) with a HS diploma and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) required.
• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred.
• 18+ years for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and contractors at site-specific access control points.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials, and maintain visitor/contractor access records.
• Control access to restricted terminal areas according to procedures and report unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly following site protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, docks, parking areas, and perimeter.
