Job summary

Allied Universal in Columbia, SC is seeking a Juvenile Correctional Security Officer - Entry Authorization to help manage entry points, verify credentials, and monitor access at a government location. Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Background check conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, residents, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Control access to the facility by monitoring entry points and verifying authorization.
• Screen visitors and deliveries and maintain visitor/access logs.
• Deter unauthorized entry by monitoring access-control systems and reporting issues.
• Respond to incidents calmly and communicate with facility personnel and responders.
• Conduct regular patrols and document observations.
