Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for badge verification at a Pittsburgh, PA airport transportation site. You will manage badge access, monitor entry points, verify credentials, and maintain security while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include patrolling, responding to incidents, and enforcing site policies. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, background check, and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel while carrying out security-related procedures at an airport transportation location.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, badges, and entry permissions for restricted areas per site procedures.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access at entrances, gates, and checkpoints, reporting unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify site contacts or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to identify security-related concerns.
