Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer focused on credential verification and access control at a government facility in Georgetown, DE. The role involves patrolling, verifying credentials, and maintaining a visible security presence while providing professional customer service.

You will support entry point management, monitor access activity, and respond to incidents with a calm, problem-solving approach.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• A security license (state/county/city) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and employees at government facilities by carrying out access-control procedures and related tasks.
• Monitor entry points, verify credentials, maintain visitor records, and direct individuals as required.
• Respond to incidents calmly and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry areas, grounds, and perimeter to identify unauthorized access or unusual conditions.
• Communicate clearly with the public and follow reporting/escalation procedures.
