Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Dover, DE. You will provide customer service, monitor access, and conduct patrols to deter incidents while maintaining logs and reporting concerns. A background check and drug screen are required, with age requirements for different roles.

You will join a team focused on safeguarding facilities with a responsive, customer‑driven approach and opportunities to participate in their Shift-claim program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check and drug screening will be conducted as per law.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of various areas to identify and report unusual activity and hazards.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain logs and documentation.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify site contacts and responders as needed.
• Support the protection of products, equipment, and operations by observing receiving, shipping, and restricted areas for policy compliance.
