Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer in Grand Rapids, MI to deliver reliable security services for a technology-focused site. You will support access control, document incidents, and maintain a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

Your schedule includes Friday and Saturday nights, with a pay rate of $17.00 per hour. This role emphasizes teamwork, integrity, and a customer-focused approach in a dynamic workplace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• A drug screen will be required, where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, documenting visitor entry, issuing access credentials as directed, and reporting access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, access-control alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including access points and perimeter locations, to identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, visitor records, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and client contacts.
