Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in Hartford, CT. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with six-month commitment and a chance to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings.

Pay rate is $20.00 per hour. Schedule is Mon, Tue, Wed 12:30 PM - 08:30 PM, with opportunities to scale to more hours. Includes benefits of remote access to scheduling platform and career growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Access control or badge experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations calmly and according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking facilities, and building perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and maintain documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and emergency responders and report hazards or concerns.
