Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Access Control Officer in Charleston, SC. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, and maintain visitor and badge records at a chemical/petrochemical site, delivering professional customer service and a visible security presence.

This role offers flexible scheduling with shifts including Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM, Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM, and Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM, with ongoing training and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and communicate access concerns to site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports related to visitor activity, access-control events, incidents, and observed conditions.
