Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Admission Control Driver) in La Porte, TX. You will serve clients at a utility location, provide access control, assist visitors, and maintain a secure environment while delivering excellent customer service.

You will verify credentials, monitor cameras and alarms, and respond to incidents following site procedures. This role is driving-based and requires a valid driver's license; minimum age 18 and high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements depend on state and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors entering or exiting controlled areas.
• Monitor access points, alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems; document and report unusual activity, access concerns, and equipment issues.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
